BEFORE WE TALK

Let's make sure I'm the right fit for your product.

Watch the short video below, then read through what I help with and what I don't. If we're aligned, you can book a call at the bottom of this page.

WHERE I FIT IN YOUR JOURNEY

I'm the bridge between your idea and your factory.

Think of building a CPG brand as a long road. I work in one specific stretch of it.

Before me

Brand & strategy

Vision, brand identity, who you serve, how you compete. Done with brand strategists, agencies, or by you.

My lane

Recipe & formulation

Clean label, production-ready formulas. The thing your co-packer actually runs on the line.

After me

Manufacturing & retail

Co-packers, ingredient sourcing, packaging, FDA / labeling, distribution, retailer pitches.

SCOPE OF WORK

What I do, and what I don't.

I'm a food product developer. My focus is recipe formulation and getting your product factory-ready. Everything else, even when it touches your product, lives outside my lane.

YES, THIS IS WHAT I DO

In scope

  • Reformulating an existing recipe

You have a product on shelves (or a kitchen recipe you love) and you need it rebuilt clean label, production-ready, and shelf-stable so a co-packer can execute it consistently.

  • Developing a new recipe for a co-packer

You have an idea, a flavor profile, or a customer ask. I develop the formula from scratch with manufacturing in mind, so what leaves my kitchen is what runs on the line.

  • Expanding one product into a full line

Your hero SKU is winning. You want flavor extensions, category extensions, or a full family of products that taste like they belong together. I formulate every one of them.

  • Getting your recipe factory-ready

Spec sheets, ingredient lists, and process notes a co-packer can actually run. Clean label, scalable, and built around real manufacturing constraints.

  • Solving clean label shelf-life problems

If your formula needs longer shelf life without synthetic preservatives, that's the kind of problem I work on every week.

  • Limited ingredient sourcing

I'll help you identify commercially available ingredients that fit your formula and can actually scale into production. What I won't do is negotiate pricing, work out minimum order quantities, run cost calculations, or handle the supplier relationship — those pieces stay with you or your sourcing partner.

NOT WHAT I DO

Outside my scope

  • Full business consulting

I'm a food product developer, not a CPG strategist. Brand strategy, retailer pitches, sales decks, and go-to-market roadmaps are someone else's lane.

  • Packaging, bottle, or label design

I don't design bottles, jars, pouches, or the artwork that goes on them. I'll absolutely tell your designer what the ingredient panel needs to say once your formula is finalized.

  • FDA approval, compliance, or regulatory work

I don't file FDA submissions, write nutrition fact panels, or handle GRAS / labeling compliance. You'll want a regulatory consultant for that piece.

  • Supplier contract negotiations or co-manufacturing agreements

Pricing negotiations, minimum order quantity terms, supplier contracts, and co-manufacturing agreements with your factory aren't something I handle. You'll want a sourcing consultant, broker, or your own legal counsel for that work.

  • Distribution and retail placement

Getting you into Whole Foods, Sprouts, or any retailer isn't part of what I do. No broker introductions, no buyer meetings, no shelf placement work.

  • Finding or managing a co-packer

I make sure your formula is something a co-packer can actually run. I don't pick your co-packer for you or run the relationship on your behalf.

THE FORMULATION PROCESS

How a recipe becomes a production-ready formula.

Six development stages that take your recipe from a kitchen concept to a spec sheet your co-manufacturer can run, batch after batch.

Recipe to production-ready formula: six development stages from standardizing the formula through supporting line expansion.

IF YOU NEED THE FULL STACK

Looking for end-to-end CPG help? That's not me, and that's okay.

If what you really need is someone to design your packaging, file FDA paperwork, find your co-packer, source your ingredients, and walk you into a Whole Foods buyer meeting, you're looking for a fractional COO or an all out Business Partner. I work alongside those roles but do not fulfill them, my main focus is Recipe Formulation.

What I do is the part that actually decides whether the product on the shelf tastes like the product in your head. If that's the piece you need solved, you're in the right place.
